Brewery Spotlight: Virginia Beer Company
If you’re going to name your brewery after the entire state, then you need to deliver and create an experience representative of it. Thankfully, Virginia Beer Company does just that, as it is located in Williamsburg (a place that is rich with Virginia history), with beers you can’t find anywhere else.
Virginia Beer Co. founders, Chris & Robby, are alumni of William & Mary where they met and began their journey into the brewing business. The taproom and beer garden of Virginia Beer Co. opened in March of 2016 at a renovated building that was originally built in 1960. This location includes two brewing systems, an in-house lab and a canning line. Since 2016, they’ve grown and their brews can now be found throughout the world.
The beer of Virginia Beer Co. is as diverse as the people of the state, including their taste buds. They include flagship beers that stick around, like Elbow Patches Oatmeal Stout and Free Verse IPA as well as seasonal favorites such as the Oktoberfest and the Evil Santa Milk Stout. A flight at Virginia Beer Co. is guaranteed to give you an array of beer coloration.
Whether in London, France, or on Second Street in Williamsburg, VA, you’ll find a beer suited for you at Virginia Beer Co.
